Hungary expels 10 Russian diplomats accused of activities not in line with the Vienna Convention

Hungary has ordered 10 Russian diplomats to leave the country. The individuals were involved in activities not in line with the Vienna Convention for diplomats, Foreign Minister Anita Orbán said.

The minister said the decision serves to protect Hungary’s security and sovereignty.

“This does not mean severing diplomatic relations with Russia. Hungary intends to continue the necessary dialogue, which will be based on mutual respect and adherence to the rules,” Orbán said.
