Venerable Father Pimen the Great was born around 340 in Egypt. Together with his two brothers, Anubis and Paisius, he was tonsured a monk in one of the Egyptian monasteries. For many monks, Venerable Pimen was a spiritual teacher and leader. He died around 450 at the age of 110. He was soon canonized. For his obedience, wisdom, righteousness, and devoted service, he was also given the title of “the Great.”

The High Priest Hosius the Confessor (4th century) was Bishop of Cordoba (Spain) for 60 years. The holy Orthodox Emperor Constantine the Great (306-337) highly esteemed him and made him his closest advisor. At the request of the High Priest, Constantine convened the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea in 325. Saint Hosius was the first to sign the decree of the council. The High Priest Hosius died in 359.

The High Priest Liber the Confessor ascended the papal throne in 352 after the death of Pope Julius. He died in 366.

The Venerable Poemen of Palestine lived in a cave in the Rubi Desert in the 6th century. Saint Poemen of Palestine was torn to pieces by wild beasts at the end of the 6th century.
