We promised the voters that we would neutralize foreign agencies in our country and we are actually fulfilling this promise, – Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Paris.

As the head of government noted, foreign agencies are weakened in Georgia today.

"These processes that are developing, including internal confrontation, are a continuation of the processes that developed in our country after the 2024 parliamentary elections. The opposition representatives themselves brought themselves to this situation. Or rather, their patrons brought the relevant politicians to this situation. This is not really any opposition, in fact, this is a foreign agency, the foreign agency is weakened in Georgia today. The decisive role in this was played by the steps taken by the government, among which one of the most important steps was the adoption of legislation on transparency, the adoption of the law on grants, the adoption of various legislative acts, as well as the proper regulation of the issue of assemblies, etc. All this forced the foreign agency to behave within the framework of the law and, ultimately, the opposition is weakened within the framework of the law. This process must continue. I would like to emphasize once again the importance of the constitutional lawsuit, we have filed it with the Constitutional Court. "The lawsuit is related to the banning of specific political parties, and it is very important that a state decision is made on this issue. A decision that best meets the state's interests," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
