Maia Bitadze to Assume the Role of Minister of Culture of Georgia

Maia Bitadze will assume the position of Minister of Culture of Georgia.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced this during a briefing at the Government Administration.

Until now, Bitadze served as the Chair of the Parliament's Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee. She previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Environment Protection of Georgia from 2011 to 2017 and served as Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi from 2017 to 2020.

Notably, Tinatin Rukhadze stepped down from the post of Minister of Culture on July 28.
