"Gakharia for Georgia" represents the same "agent force" as the collective "National Movement" – Levan Machavariani

According to Georgian Dream MP Levan Machavariani, the "Gakharia for Georgia" party should be included in the lawsuit filed with the Constitutional Court.

He stated that Giorgi Gakharia's party continues "destructive activities," refuses to recognize the government's legitimacy or the election results, and represents an "agent force."

"This is the force that, following the 2021 elections, formed a coalition—a direct partnership—specifically with the 'parent' National Movement in four municipalities. This is the force that fights against peace in Georgia and is involved in revolutionary processes. Regarding the 2024 elections, it signed the so-called 'Charter' and opposed Georgian Dream alongside the other radicals.

Gakharia's party continues its harmful actions. They do not recognize the government's legitimacy and, to this day, do not acknowledge the election results.

This party, too, represents the exact same 'agent force' as the collective 'National Movement'." "Accordingly, this aspect must, of course, also be mentioned in the lawsuit," stated Machavariani.

Notably, "Georgian Dream" is also petitioning the Constitutional Court to ban the "Gakharia for Georgia" party. This was announced by the leader of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Kirtskhalia.

According to him, a constitutional lawsuit will be submitted to the Constitutional Court this week, which will also include a challenge regarding former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia's party.
