"The results we have achieved in the energy sector are a credit to each of you, and I would like to express my special gratitude for this. Today, we are working not only to maintain these achievements but also to further develop our energy system and enhance energy security—a key priority for the government," stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze while addressing an event dedicated to Energy Day.

The Head of Government congratulated energy professionals on their professional holiday and noted that the foundation has been laid for a new vision that will guide the development of the country's energy system over the next decade. "Happy Professional Day! Today, we are marking Energy Worker's Day at a truly remarkable location—a hydroelectric power plant with a century-long history, having been established and put into operation back in 1927. It was one of the first major hydroelectric plants in Georgia's history, marking a turning point in the development of our country and its economy.

Even today—and indeed, now more than ever—the energy sector plays a pivotal role in our country's development and economic growth; the advancement of the energy sector will remain a top priority for our government in the future as well.

The achievements we have realized in the energy sector are a credit to each of you—to every single energy professional. They are the result of your hard work, professionalism, and engineering accomplishments, and I would like to extend my special gratitude to each of you for this.

We are currently working not only to maintain these achievements but also to further develop our energy system and strengthen our energy security; this stands as one of our government's key priorities.
