Ukraine is being used to defend the European Union as cheaply as possible – this once again demonstrates the cold-blooded nature of international politics – Shalva Papuashvili

According to the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, Ukraine is being used to ensure the defense of the European Union at the lowest possible cost. He noted that this circumstance highlights the cold-blooded nature of international politics.

The Speaker of Parliament drew attention to the fact that, in the West, Ukraine is often referred to as the "front line of the European Union's defense."

"It has been stated repeatedly that Ukraine serves as the front line for the European Union and for the defense of European nations. Is it cost-effective? Yes, it is cost-effective, because they do not have to fight themselves—the blood of Germans, French, and Lithuanians is not being shed; instead, it is Ukrainian blood that is being spilled to ensure the defense of the European Union. This once again demonstrates the cold-blooded nature of international politics and shows just how easy it is for some to speak—so directly, so brazenly, and in such a tone—about the fact that Ukraine is currently being used to defend the European Union as cheaply as possible," stated Shalva Papuashvili. According to him, the public needs to fully grasp the fate that would have awaited Georgia had opposition forces been in power. Papuashvili asserts that preparations were being made to open a "second front" in Georgia and draw the country into hostilities. Therefore, everyone needs to realize what fate would have awaited Georgia had the group of people currently in power—those who even today wave the flags of other countries—been in charge. They would have been eager to be on the front lines. That is essentially what Zura Japaridze said: let us help in some way; by fighting here, we could hold back 20,000 soldiers, preventing them from being free to go fight elsewhere. They were ready for this, and Georgia was being primed for it.

That was the purpose behind the attempt to rig the 2020 election results. That is why foreign intelligence services smuggled Mikheil Saakashvili into the country in 2021; prior to that, consultations had taken place in Brussels and Washington. The ultimate goal was for Georgia to play the role of opening a "second front"—making the defense of the European Union cost-effective by having us fight and halt 10,000, 20,000, or 30,000 Russian soldiers here, while others sat in seminars and panel discussions, calmly debating our fate. Of course, they would have applauded us and rolled out the red carpets, but had that scenario played out, there would have been no one left to walk that red carpet... ...in the country,” stated Shalva Papuashvili.
