Police have seized up to 100 kilograms of cannabis plants and 115 grams of marijuana in Kakheti, and three individuals have been arrested. The Ministry of Internal Affairs released this information.

According to the agency, law enforcement officers seized up to 100 kilograms of cannabis plants and 115 grams of marijuana as evidence during searches conducted on the accused individuals' persons, at their homes and household plots, and in the area surrounding a farm.

"Officers from the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested three individuals at different times on charges of illegal purchase and possession of narcotic drugs in particularly large quantities, as well as the illegal sowing, growing, and cultivation of plants containing narcotic substances.

During searches of the accused individuals' persons, homes, household plots, and the area surrounding a farm, law enforcement officers seized up to 100 kilograms of cannabis plants and 115 grams of marijuana as evidence." "Materials required for packaging narcotic substances were also seized as a result of investigative actions.

The investigation is proceeding under Articles 260 and 265-1 of the Criminal Code, which provide for imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment," the statement reads.
