Commemoration of: George Chqondideli—spiritual mentor and Chief Scribe (*Mtsignobartukhutsesi*) to David the Builder (1118); Hieromartyr Dositheos of Tbilisi (1795); Hieromartyr Autonomus, Bishop of Italy (313); Martyr Julian and the 40 martyrs with him (4th century); Martyr Theodore of Alexandria; Hieromartyr Cornutus, Bishop of Nicomedia (or Iconium) (3rd century).

Hieromartyr Autonomus was a bishop in Italy. He repeatedly escaped the persecutions of Christians under Emperor Diocletian. Eventually, pagans captured and brutally tortured him. During the reign of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine the Great, a church was built over the grave of Bishop Autonomus.

Martyr Julian lived near the ancient city of Ancyra. He was brutally tortured for the sake of Christianity. Hieromartyr Theodore, Bishop of Alexandria, was born in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. Like the Apostle Paul, he was crucified by the Romans and put to death by the sword.

Hieromartyr Cornutus, Bishop of Nicomedia, suffered for the name of Christ in the 3rd century during the persecutions of Christians decreed by the Roman emperors Decius and Valerian.
