    "Our government and our country have a declared policy; our goal is to restore trust between Georgians and Abkhazians, and between Georgians and Ossetians," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in the United States.

    According to the head of government, statements made by certain individuals run counter to the government's declared and undisputed goal. "It is already evident that this is part of a deliberate process. These steps are clearly aimed at undermining the restoration of trust. Our government and our country have a declared policy; our goal is to restore trust between Georgians and Abkhazians, and between Georgians and Ossetians. There are serious challenges and problems—wars took place in both regions, and specific issues stem from that—but the aim of our declared policy is the restoration of trust. Restoring trust is a cornerstone of our peace policy. This is precisely how we envision the restoration of our territorial integrity. The statements made by certain individuals run counter to this very goal—the government's declared and undisputed objective. These individuals are essentially foreign agents; consequently, their statements are the result of orders from specific forces. Naturally, we must counter such trends. We must do everything possible to restore trust and to restore our territorial integrity through peaceful means," the Prime Minister stated.
