Willy Sagnol has left the Georgian national football team. The Georgian Football Federation announced the news.

Sagnol had been in charge of the Georgian national team since February 2021, a period during which the team played 57 matches. Under Sagnol's leadership, the Georgian team achieved historic success; in 2024, the team played in the European Championship finals for the first time, successfully advancing past the group stage and reaching the tournament's top 16.

Ramaz Svanadze has previously managed Georgia's U-21 national team, leading the youth squad to the European Championship finals on two occasions.

His assistant, Giorgi Adamia, will take over for Svanadze during the final three qualifying matches of the Georgian U-21 team.
