The press service also released a photograph showing Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Donald Trump shaking hands.

"Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended an official reception hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump in New York on September 22; the event was held in honor of the leaders of states participating in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly," the statement reads.

Notably, Irakli Kobakhidze was on an official visit to the United States, where he delivered a speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. Kobakhidze also met with leaders of various states and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Furthermore, following his visit to the US, Irakli Kobakhidze stated: "I had the opportunity to speak with both the US President and the Secretary of State; I noted our desire to restore the strategic partnership, and this brief conversation went very positively."
