Ukraine has disabled over 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity – Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, more than 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity has been disabled as a result of long-range strikes carried out by Ukraine.

As stated by Ukrainian Defence Minister Yevhen Khmara, this assessment was conducted by the intelligence and analytical services of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence.

"Intelligence, along with analysts from the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence, have assessed the results of recent long-range strikes carried out by the Security and Defence Forces. More than half of the adversary's capacity has been disabled. This is the result of well-conceived, planned, and systematic actions aimed at weakening Russia's military machine and destroying its military-economic potential," the Minister stated. According to him, strikes have recently been carried out against oil refineries in Moscow, Yaroslavl, Kinef, Ust-Luga, Perm, Ilsky, Saratov, and Syzran, as well as other facilities.

"Damaging 51% of oil refining capacity deals a significant blow to the enemy's economy and its ability to sustain aggression and supply its military forces. Our long-range strikes are bringing the war onto Russian territory," Khmara stated.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reports that one of its priorities is the development of long-range strike drones capable of hitting targets deep within Russia.

"We have tripled production and procurement this year. This is not the limit; we will continue to increase our deep-strike capabilities in the future," the Ukrainian Defence Minister said.
