The First Collegium of the Constitutional Court has referred the constitutional lawsuit filed by members of the Parliament of Georgia (totaling 88 members) regarding the banning of political parties to the Plenum of the Constitutional Court of Georgia for consideration.

The administrative session of the First Collegium of the Constitutional Court, held without an oral hearing, took place on October 6, 2026, to decide on the admissibility of the constitutional lawsuit for substantive review.

The composition of the Collegium was as follows: Vasil Roinishvili – Presiding Judge and Rapporteur Judge; Eva Gotsiridze – Member; Giorgi Tevdorashvili – Member; Goga Kikilashvili – Member.

It should be noted that the updated constitutional lawsuit—which now includes the party "Gakharia for Georgia"—was submitted to the Constitutional Court on September 21. Prior to this, the constitutional lawsuit filed by "Georgian Dream" sought to have the activities of the "National Movement," "Coalition for Change," "Strong Georgia – Lelo," and the "Federalists" declared unconstitutional and banned.
