Law enforcement officers have arrested 21 individuals and sealed 11 premises on charges of facilitating prostitution and providing premises for prostitution. As Grigol Gogochashvili—Head of the Division for Combating Trafficking and Illegal Migration at the Central Criminal Police Department—stated during a briefing at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police operations were carried out in Tbilisi, Imereti, and Kvemo Kartli. Officers from the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office, arrested 21 individuals and sealed 11 premises following a comprehensive series of operational measures and investigative actions; the individuals were charged with facilitating prostitution and providing premises for prostitution.

The police operations were carried out in Tbilisi, Imereti, and Kvemo Kartli.

Evidence obtained through covert investigative actions—including audio and video recordings—established that the arrested individuals, who served as managers and administrators of various establishments, systematically facilitated the activities of women engaged in prostitution. Specifically, in exchange for payment, they provided space within their facilities for these women to operate.

The investigation further revealed that the administrators assisted those involved in prostitution in finding clients. In return, a significant portion of the earnings generated by the women through sexual services... They kept a portion for themselves.

The investigation established that the primary source of income for these establishments was money obtained through the facilitation of prostitution.

Law enforcement officers seized funds derived from this illegal activity during searches conducted at various locations.

The investigation is proceeding under Article 254 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which covers the facilitation of prostitution and the provision of premises for prostitution.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to carry out appropriate police measures to detect and suppress such illegal activities and to bring the individuals involved in the crime to justice," stated Grigol Gogochashvili
