Construction of the Grigoleti-Kobuleti Bypass Road Continues
According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, construction is ongoing on the Grigoleti-Kobuleti section of the East-West E70 international highway.
Traffic is already open on an 11-kilometer stretch of the road, while work is actively proceeding on the remaining three-kilometer section.
The Grigoleti-Kobuleti highway construction project entails building a 14-kilometer, four-lane asphalt-concrete road, along with 22 bridges, four interchanges, culverts, and underpasses.
The project is being implemented under a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB), with a total cost of 228 million GEL. Through the Grigoleti-Kobuleti bypass, the Samtredia-Grigoleti road will connect to the Kobuleti bypass, allowing traffic to flow from Grigoleti towards Kobuleti via the high-speed highway.
