Georgia to be Discussed at EU Foreign Affairs Council Meeting

The issue of Georgia will be discussed, among other topics, at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting taking place today, October 12, in Luxembourg; this information is available on the official EU website.

The meeting will be chaired by Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

A press release notes that EU foreign ministers will discuss Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the campaign of hybrid actions directed against the EU and its member states, which is becoming increasingly intense. The discussion will focus on the EU's response to Russia's stepped-up hybrid activities, as well as on support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia.

Prior to the discussion, the ministers will exchange views with their Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha. The Council will also discuss the situation in the Middle East against the backdrop of recent developments in Iran, particularly the issue of freedom of navigation.

Furthermore, the ministers will exchange views on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
