If you bring a map to Kaya Kalas, she won't be able to show you where Georgia is - Kakha Kaladze

The mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze responded to the statement about Georgia made by Kaya Kalas before the ministerial of the European Union in Luxembourg and noted that everyone who has the right attitude and is not engaged in political speculations knows the importance of Georgia.

According to Kaladze, it will be difficult to even find Kaya Kalas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security on the map of Georgia.

"If you bring a map to Kaya Kalas, she won't be able to show you where Georgia is, what are we talking about? All normal people who have the right attitude to various issues and have no room for political speculations know the importance of Georgia. In this particular case, for example, we know what the main interest is - to somehow bring representatives of their agency network to the head of the country, so that they can then use the country to pursue their own interests and do what they want in Ukraine This is a really sad and disappointing example", said Kakha Kaladze.

According to him, Georgia is an advanced country both in terms of economic and democratic development.

"I repeat once again, everyone knows very well the importance of Georgia - due to our location and from other points of view, Georgia is an advanced country. Let's look at the economic and democratic development, freedom of speech and expression in recent years, but freedom of speech and expression is not the way you organize it to curse, use profanity, insult, bully people with different opinions. If you think differently, they will pass you by. This is democracy for them, not for us. This is democracy. Every person should have freedom of speech and expression, and we are building such a country," Kaladze said.

The High representative of the European Union, Kaya Callas, told the journalists before the meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union in Luxembourg: "Today we will discuss Georgia very briefly, but I will have an offer to have an in-depth discussion regarding Georgia in January."
