"When you dream of your country being punished—and not only dream of it, but also attempt to take concrete steps toward that end—this is a very clear manifestation of treason," stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists.

As the head of government noted, the activities of the entire radical opposition are, by their very nature, unconstitutional and hostile toward their own country; they serve the purpose of altering the constitutional order.

The Prime Minister was asked about a statement made by Nika Gvaramia regarding the European Union's decision to postpone the imposition of sanctions until January. "These individuals do not hide their hostile attitude toward the country, and this statement is yet another manifestation of that. When you dream of your country being punished—and not only dream of it, but also take concrete steps to bring it about—that is a very clear act of betrayal. Such statements will further assist us in the Constitutional Court when we submit our petition regarding the banning of these political parties. Their entire activity is, by its very nature, unconstitutional; it is hostile toward their own country and aims to alter the constitutional order. Consequently, such statements will be of additional help to us in the Constitutional Court," stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
