    Precipitation Expected Starting October 20

According to the National Environmental Agency, intermittent precipitation is expected—beginning in Eastern Georgia on the night of October 20, and in Western Georgia on October 21—lasting until the second half of the day on October 22. In the northern mountainous regions of the country, as well as in the Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, and Kakheti regions, the precipitation may be heavy in some areas.

Thunderstorms and strengthening winds are also possible.

The National Environmental Agency warns that the anticipated heavy precipitation could lead to significant rises in water levels and flash floods in the Enguri, Aragvi, Alazani, and Iori rivers and their tributaries. In hilly and mountainous zones, it may trigger or intensify landslides and mudflows, while in urban areas, localized flooding is possible (medium danger level).
