"It is time to open your eyes and realize that, because of your confrontation with me, you have no supporters left. We are now facing the threat of the country’s disappearance—is this really the time to be counting ratings?" – this is how the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, addresses the opposition on social media. "At a conference in Lithuania organized by the IRI (International Republican Institute), American and European experts and politicians told representatives of the opposition parties that their only chance lies in uniting with me. In response, these opposition figures dug in their heels, refusing to budge. They claimed, 'We don't want to join Misha; our supporters don't want it,' and argued that Misha is the one undermining unity.

First of all, it is time to open your eyes and realize that, because of your confrontation with me, you have no supporters left—save for your own narrow, insular circles. Secondly, for all these years, I have been advocating for unity—calling for us to 'come together'—yet you have been fleeing from me at full speed, continuing to view me as the primary problem rather than Ivanishvili.

Under normal political circumstances and a fair electoral environment, I could secure a majority on my own, bringing in a team composed primarily of young people. But right now, the country itself faces the threat of extinction—this is hardly the time to be counting poll numbers. The choice is simple: either we unite for a common cause, or we cease to exist," writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
