"When there is an ongoing judicial process and a specific European institution attempts to exert influence or pressure, this is, in itself, concerning," stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists, referring to statements made by EU representatives.
The Head of Government emphasized that everyone must respect the independence of the judiciary, the rule of law, and the independence of institutions.
"This is an attempt at political pressure. Everyone must respect the independence of the judiciary, the rule of law, and the independence of institutions. When there is an ongoing judicial process and a specific European institution attempts to exert influence or pressure, this is, in itself, concerning. All of this runs counter to European values, which is very regrettable," the Prime Minister declared.
