Police in Marneuli Arrest Individual on Fraud Charges

Police in Marneuli have arrested one person on charges of fraud.

The investigation revealed that the accused promised a resident of the Marneuli Municipality to manufacture furniture in exchange for 1,750 GEL. Although the accused collected the money, they failed to fulfill the promise and fraudulently appropriated the funds.

Law enforcement officers arrested the accused based on a court order.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 180, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a penalty of up to 7 years of imprisonment.
