Police Arrest One Person in Kobuleti on Drug-Related Charges

Officers from the Kobuleti District Division of the Adjara Police Department (under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia) have arrested one individual on charges of illegal acquisition and possession of an especially large quantity of narcotic substances.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers seized an especially large quantity of the narcotic substance "tetrahydrocannabinol" as evidence during a personal search of the accused in the Kobuleti Municipality.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 260 of the Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
