I am ready to accept the election results; we look forward to working with the Democrats - Donald Trump

According to CNN projections, the Democratic Party has already secured 53 seats in the 100-member Senate—enough to attain a majority.

Media reports indicate that, based on these figures, the Republicans will hold 39 seats in the Senate.

Citing sources within the Democratic Party, CNN reports that Democratic candidates are winning in electoral districts traditionally considered Republican strongholds—districts where Donald Trump won by a double-digit margin in the previous election.

Furthermore, the Democrats are successfully retaining seats that were previously at risk of being lost. According to one source, the party could potentially reach a total of nearly 250 seats in the House of Representatives.

Additionally, the Associated Press reports that the Democrats have already regained control of the Senate. Their victory was bolstered by successes in several states that traditionally lean Republican.

Donald Trump, for his part, stated in an interview with The New York Times that he accepts the election results and is prepared to work with the Democrats.

"I am fully prepared to accept these results," the U.S. President declared.

According to Trump, his administration intends to cooperate with the Democrats and looks forward to this process.

"We will work with the Democrats, and, you know, we look forward to that cooperation. We’ll probably come up with something," the U.S. President said.
