Police Arrest Individual in Marneuli on Fraud Charges

Police have arrested one person in Marneuli on charges of fraudulently obtaining a large sum of money.

The investigation established that the accused obtained construction materials worth 45,870 GEL from the owner of a building materials store in the Marneuli Municipality, under the agreement that payment would be made at a later date. However, the accused failed to fulfill this promise and fraudulently appropriated the materials.

Law enforcement officers arrested the accused based on a court order.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 180, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a penalty of up to nine years of imprisonment.
