Bidzina Ivanishvili's responsibility and role are always of a completely different level than any position - Levan Machavariani

According to the statement of the Georgian Dream MP, Levan Machavariani, within the framework of the visit of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev to Georgia, a meeting was held with both representatives of the Georgian government and the Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to him, Aliyev separately discussed all the issues that are important for the relations between the two countries.

According to Machavariani, it does not matter whether Bidzina Ivanishvili holds a specific political position or not, because his responsibility and role for the country are "of a different level."

“Bidzina Ivanishvili is the honorary chairman of our party. Aliyev had meetings with our President, our Prime Minister and Bidzina Ivanishvili. He discussed with everyone separately the issues that are important for our countries. It does not matter whether Bidzina Ivanishvili held any specific position, is holding it, will leave politics again or in what capacity he will be. His responsibility and role are always of an absolutely different degree than those corresponding to any position,” said Machavariani.

According to the MP, Ivanishvili’s role and responsibility for the country do not depend on his formal involvement in politics.

In his assessment, Bidzina Ivanishvili is “the main guarantor of preserving and strengthening national identity, protecting independence and sovereignty, as well as peace, stability and development.”
