The United States has resumed strikes against Iran

The United States has launched another round of airstrikes on Iran, CNN reports, citing the US Central Command.

As stated in the statement of the US Central Command, the attacks were carried out at the direction of the US President and their purpose is to limit Iran's capabilities so that it can no longer threaten navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

"At the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, US Central Command forces have begun carrying out additional strikes against Iran to further limit its capabilities to threaten the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States holds Iran responsible for its recent unjustified aggression against commercial vessels and their civilian crews, which freely navigate this vital international shipping lane," the US Central Command statement said.

Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported that the power supply to the southeastern port city of Chabahar was partially cut off after the US announced new air strikes on Iran.
