The danger alert in the Devdoraki Gorge has been lifted, restrictions on vehicular traffic have been removed, and the "Dariali" border checkpoint is operating normally – Ministry of Internal Affairs

Based on recommendations from the National Environmental Agency and taking into account the current situation in the Devdoraki Gorge, Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel have lifted the restrictions on vehicular traffic.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the "Dariali" border checkpoint is continuing to operate as usual.

"A signal was received this morning from the early warning system installed in Devdoraki, which detects changes—such as even a minimal rise in the water level—within the riverbed.

In accordance with established protocols, citizens present at the site, as well as personnel from the patrol police, customs service, border police, and private companies working at the checkpoint, were evacuated to a safe location." At the same time, as a preventive measure, traffic in both directions has been restricted for all types of vehicles near the village of Gveleti.

"According to the National Environmental Agency, the danger level in the Devdoraki Gorge has currently been lifted," the statement notes.
