It's not funny enough, if Bidzina Ivanishvili thinks so, he punished me … My four children do not need the mercy of a Russian - Elene Khoshtaria
It's not funny enough, if Bidzina Ivanishvili thinks so, he punished me. Someone even wiped his sweat - they said we solved one issue, we punished him. Friends! It would have been a punishment for me, if I had been afraid and had agreed with the Russians, if I had not prepared to fight them, - this is how the leader of the "Droa" party, Elene Khoshtaria, responds to the verdict of the Tbilisi City Court against her.
"When you fight the Russian regime, you don't admit it and you understand - what a fight you are in, it would be amazing, even irresponsible, not to be ready for a whole series of discomforts. Even in this context, I want to tell you, completely honestly, without embellishment: it's not funny enough, if Bidzina Ivanishvili thinks he has punished me. Someone even wiped his sweat - we have resolved one issue, we have punished him. Friends! It would be a punishment for me, I would be scared and would adapt to the Russians, not to prepare to fight them. I really laugh at those who think prison is a punishment or a slowdown in the fight. On the contrary, it gives me a kind of pleasure, sometimes a so-called judge, sometimes any other scoundrel, begging me to admit it. No matter what method they use, everyone is doomed. I laugh at their pacifism. I have understood exactly their weak points and that is where they will calmly and quietly receive blows from us. I also want to address one issue I will touch it. Only once. My four children and I are responsible for my family, and I hope that the “Kotsi” will never leave me. My four children do not need the mercy of the Russians. They know very well why they are going through this ordeal, much better than the “Kotsi”! Here I would like to thank the “Opposition Alliance” for its very precise emphasis, there will be no bargaining! And thank you to everyone: journalists, activists and all citizens in general for their cooperation. Thank you to the prison administration, everyone without exception. I have nothing difficult here and I lack nothing. Let’s continue the fight, I from here, you from there. Until the end!”, Khoshtaria writes in his letter.
For your information, Judge Giorgi Arevadze sentenced Elene Khoshtaria to 1 year and 6 months in prison for writing the words "Russian Dream" on Kakha Kaladze's election banner with a stationery marker. Accordingly, Khoshtaria will leave the penitentiary in 1 year.
