We appeal to all parties involved to rename the Anaklia port after Trump and become the gateway to the “Trump Road” for the Western world, which will bring us security, Western investments and economic prosperity

- Irakli Kupradze, Secretary General of “Lelo-Strong Georgia”, stated this at a briefing.

According to Irakli Kupradze, against the backdrop of geopolitical instability and ongoing conflicts in the region, the declared “isolationist and anti-national, anti-Western” policy of the “Georgian Dream” puts Georgia in danger.

“The Anaklia Deepwater Port Project, like the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, is the only large-scale idea that is fully consistent with the strategic priorities declared by the United States and President Trump’s administration - the interest of the States in this project has not slowed down.

It is the Anaklia Port that can play a turning point in the direction of security, economy and diversification of energy sources in the Black Sea region. In order to maintain real peace in Georgia, it is necessary to determine the status of the Anaklia Port - as a strategic object of national importance.

That is why the real implementation of the Anaklia Project is necessary, and not an imitation process. Anaklia is not just a port, it is a national, geopolitical choice of Georgia, and this choice has already been made by the Georgian people!

There are interests of the country that are above all - Anaklia is just such an interest for Georgia!

Today, in order to implement the “Anaklia Project”, the state, then the political Guarantees should be given and public, clear commitments should be made:

“The Anaklia Deepwater Port Project should be declared #1 national priority

The leading role in the project should be given to American and transatlantic financial institutions.

The Anaklia Port should be declared a strategic object of national importance.

The project should not be dominated by structures related to the state interests of Russia and China

The Anaklia Project and all related agreements should be made public in order to prevent what happened in the case of the Arab fake investment.

After the Armenian-Azerbaijani agreement, a very important international transit route appeared in the Transcaucasus, which was called the “Trump Road”. This route should not bypass Georgia, and this can only be implemented by building the Anaklia Port, which will be a logical continuation of the “Trump Road”. We appeal to all parties involved to name the Anaklia port after President Trump and make it the gateway to the “Trump Road” to the Western world, which will bring us security, Western investments and economic prosperity.

Our political team is ready, now and as soon as it comes to power, to ensure the fulfillment of all these conditions!

It is “Strong Georgia-Lelo” that has a specific plan and experience that will ensure the rapid construction of this port and, along with it, the development of “Anaklia City”, which will create tens of thousands of jobs for Georgia.

We see that a window of opportunity has opened once again and we must not let Ivanishvili’s corrupt officials once again destroy this great idea!
