Government officials lay wreaths at the Heroes' Memorial on the occasion of Defense Forces Day

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani, and Commander of the Defense Forces Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili laid wreaths at the Heroes' Memorial on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Defense Forces and paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who died for the territorial integrity of Georgia.

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Georgian Defense Forces. A ceremonial event will be held in Vaziani on this occasion.
