We are fighting for a European future and values, while the European bureaucracy is devoid of all this - Kakha Kaladze
The mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, calls the statement of the European Parliamentarian Krzysztof Breyza that the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, is being arrested on fabricated charges offensive.
As Kaladze noted in a conversation with the media, such statements indicate that the European bureaucracy is devoid of European values.
"Such statements are very serious, offensive. First of all, they cast a shadow on the European path. Such facts indicate the state of affairs of the European bureaucracy. Breiza's statement is also a clear example of how labels are generally applied. This is not the first case - we have seen the adopted resolutions, even regarding Mikheil Saakashvili. They were paid for all this. It was supposedly wrapped in some kind of lobbying. In reality, there was give-and-take. Such a thing is unthinkable. What are we fighting for when we talk about the European future and values?! Unfortunately, the European bureaucracy is devoid of all this," Kakha Kaladze noted.
