Minister of Health and Roche Pharmaceuticals CEO Discuss Elevidis, a Drug for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze met with Theresa Graham, CEO of Roche Pharmaceuticals, a Swiss pharmaceutical company. The information was released by the Georgian Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, at the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Georgia and Roche.

“The discussion touched on current and future areas of cooperation in the healthcare sector. Attention was paid to the possibilities of cooperation in the field of medicines for the treatment of oncological diseases.

The discussion also touched on the drug Elevidis, which is used to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The meeting was attended by Lela Sulaberidze, Head of the Strategic Development and Analytics Department of the Ministry of Health, Michael Oberreiter, Head of Roche's International Department, and Maka Asatiani, Head of Roche Georgia's Caucasus Countries Direction," the Ministry of Health's information states.
