Fuel market participants were able to find the possibility of supplying fuel from Georgian territory - so-called government of occupied Abkhazia

According to the de facto government of occupied Abkhazia, due to the shortage of fuel in the republic, a decision was made on the possibility of supplying it from alternative sources, including from the territory of Georgia.

As the de facto government of Abkhazia told local media, fuel supplies from the Russian Federation, within the framework of signed contracts, are still being carried out, however, due to “circumstances caused by external factors”, there is not enough motor fuel for the needs of Abkhazia.

“In this regard, a decision was made on the possibility of supplying fuel from alternative sources. Fuel market participants were able to find the possibility of supplying fuel from Georgian territory,” the de facto government of occupied Abkhazia said.

According to them, in the post-war years, in order to meet fuel needs, fuel was also supplied to Georgia from the territory of Abkhazia.

Today, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed this information at a briefing held at the government administration and specified that the fuel was imported by business, not by the government, in compliance with the law.
