Irakli Kobakhidze on David Gareji: Border demarcation and delimitation have not been carried out for 35 years; we hope that what has remained unaccomplished for 35 years will be achieved in the near future

"Border demarcation and delimitation must be carried out in a friendly manner; this is the primary instrument for resolving all issues," Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in response to a question regarding David Gareji.

He added that Georgia maintains very friendly relations with the Azerbaijani side, and that the matter is a subject of ongoing negotiations.

"We have very friendly relations with the Azerbaijani side. Wait to see how events unfold; this is a subject of negotiations. Beyond the last five years, there were 30 years prior to that. Border demarcation and delimitation have not been carried out for 35 years; we hope that what has remained unaccomplished for 35 years will be achieved in the near future. Let us wait to see how things develop," the Prime Minister noted.
