City Court rules imprisonment for 7 individuals charged with attempting to seize strategic facilities, group violence
The Tbilisi City Court ruled imprisonment for seven individuals charged with an attempt to seize strategic facilities and participation in group violence based on the decision made by Judge Arsen Kalatozishvili.
The City Court held trials in the cases of Mamuka Labuchidze, Konstantine Kokaia, Vladimer Gvelesiani, Nika Gventsadze, Guriel Kardava, Zura Chavchanidze, and Koba Epitashvili.
The prosecution demanded imprisonment for the charged individuals, while the defence offered bail as an alternative to custody.
The pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for October 27.
The seven charged individuals were detained on October 7 and 8. Koba Epitashvili, charged with participation in group violence, faces up to six years in jail.
Other accused individuals, charged with attempting to seize strategic facilities as part of a group, also face a six-year prison sentence. (1tv.ge)
