TAV Georgia Continues Workforce Development in the Aviation Sector

Within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between TAV Georgia and the Georgian Aviation University, a new cohort of interns has been welcomed at Tbilisi International Airport. Over the next month, approximately 30 undergraduate students from the Business Administration program of the Aviation University will undergo practical training in the airport's Ground Handling Department. Upon completion of the internship, all participants will have the opportunity to express their interest in employment at TAV Georgia and proceed with the relevant interview and testing process.

“TAV Georgia is the largest employer in Georgia’s aviation market. Currently, more than 1,700 individuals are employed by the company managing Tbilisi and Batumi airports, along with its subsidiary enterprises. The development of a qualified workforce for the future of Georgian aviation is one of the key priorities of our team at TAV Georgia. For the past 20 years, we have been actively contributing to the creation of this resource in the Georgian market, and significant progress has been achieved in this regard,” stated Aleksandre Mikautadze, Head of the Ground Handling Department at TAV Georgia.

TAV Georgia and the Georgian Aviation University have been jointly working for years under a memorandum of cooperation to enhance students’ practical skills and train qualified professionals in the aviation industry. This collaboration offers final-year students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in airport passenger services and flight operations, which is recognized as part of their academic credits. Additionally, TAV Georgia provides meal support to students during their working hours.

TAV Georgia is a subsidiary of TAV Airports Holding and a member of the French ADP Group. The company commenced operations in Georgia in 2005 and has invested approximately 225 million USD in the construction and development of Tbilisi and Batumi airports. With extensive investment experience, years of expertise in airport operations, and strategic management by TAV Airports Holding, TAV Georgia has established itself as one of the most reliable, stable, and dynamic companies in the country.
