Zaza Okuashvili and Omega Group decorated with National Business Award

Georgia’s best companies and top business persons were announced at the 18th Business Rating Award ceremony held by Georgian Times Media Holding and the Georgian Opinion Research Business International – GORBI on the 14th of November.

The founder of Omega Group, Mr. Zaza Okuashvili was awarded with the National Business Award, while Omega Group became the best company of the year 2016-2017.

Omega Group and its founder, Mr. Zaza Okuashvili also won the nomination “Stable Business, New Jobs and Global Projects”.

The director of Omega Group – Tobacco, Mr. Nikoloz Asanidze, who represented Omega Group at the event, said that the business run by Omega Group covered many sectors and was dedicated to the development of the Georgian economy.

“It is an honor for me to represent Omega Group here, the company which has been awarded in the nomination “Stable Business, New Jobs and Global Projects”. I would like to congratulate the founder of Omega Group, Mr. Zaza Okuashvili on this yet another recognition. I also want to congratulate each member of our numerous staff”, - Nikoloz Asanidze said.

The award ceremony was attended by the representatives of business, media and the government of Georgia.

The project aims at determining the most successful sectors, supporting dialogue among business, state and society.

Media Holding Georgian Times and the Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI) have been holding the Business Rating Awards since 1995.

It should be noted that Omega Group’s founder, Mr. Zaza Okuashvili was recognized as the best investor of the year last year, at the 17th annual business rating award.
