Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will attend the funeral of Ilia II

The Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew, will attend the funeral of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

According to available information, the Patriarch will be laid to rest on Sunday, March 22, at Sioni Cathedral.

His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, passed away at the age of 93. A period of mourning has been declared in Georgia following his death.
