Attacks and threats continue, they want only television to exist that they organize, that is acceptable to them, that is covered - Kakha Kaladze
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze responded to the media on the request of three Polish MPs regarding the sanctioning of three TV companies in Georgia.
According to him, just like the sanctions imposed by Britain, the request of the said MPs is devoid of arguments and reflects their political sentiments.
"The attacks and threats continue. I emphasize once again that they do not like the truth. We only hear blackmail. For example, Britain issued a sanction order against specific television stations, but there were no arguments. This was a political decision. When it comes to freedom of speech, a double standard is introduced here. They want only television to exist that they like, that is acceptable to them, that is covered. This is far from democracy," said Kakha Kaladze.
