Poland and Georgia fought together against Soviet tyranny. We now join the Georgian society, which strives for a free, democratic and European future, - the Polish Embassy in Georgia has released a statement on its social network.
"On April 9, 1989, the Soviet army killed Georgian peaceful demonstrators in Tbilisi. Together with our Georgian friends, we remember those who fought and gave their lives for a free, independent and democratic Georgia. Poland and Georgia then fought together against Soviet tyranny. We now join the Georgian society, which strives for a free, democratic and European future," the Polish Embassy said in a statement.
