Unfortunately, Kaia Kalas is taking the path of democracy's regression - Archil Gorduladze

Kaia Kalas cannot claim to be truthful when she separates Georgian society from the government elected as a result of her decision, - Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Georgian Parliament, stated.

“This is a direct subversive activity in terms of democracy. Unfortunately, Kaia Kallas is taking the path of democratic regression. While we are being criticized for democracy, it is neglecting the very foundation of democracy. Unfortunately, the unelected bureaucracy does not represent the European people and European states, their statements are of little interest. One of the European Commissioners is talking about the fact that Georgian legislation should not be respected and that they are looking for ways to bring black money into the country. This is another clear example of the regression of democracy, which is unfortunate, which is why we say that Europe should return to the European Union,” Gorduladze said.

The EU's High Representative, Kaia Kalas, said ahead of the European Political Council (EPC) summit in Yerevan: "Discussions are ongoing to be able to move forward on connectivity. We have some issues with Georgia because the government is taking steps in the wrong direction."
