Georgian citizen illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Bershueti is free and is in the territory controlled by the central government - SSU

According to the State Security Service, on June 22 of this year, a Georgian citizen illegally detained by Russian occupation forces near the village of Bershueti in the Gori municipality is free and is in the territory controlled by the central government.

“All relevant instruments at the disposal of the central government were actively used in the process of releasing the illegally detained Georgian citizen, including the “hotline” operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM).

The State Security Service continues to work actively to release all Georgian citizens illegally detained in the occupied territories,” the SSU statement reads.
