President offers condolence to family of killed Georgian soldier
President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili expresses deep sorrow over the death of junior sergeant Mdinari Bebiashvili in the attack of Bagram airfield in Afghanistan.
"I bow to each person who serves our homeland, who has lost his life, who is separated from his family. I express my gratitude to them on behalf of the citizens of Georgia," the statement says.
According to Presidential Administration, Giorgi Margvelashvili offers sympathy to the family of the Georgian junior sergeant, friends and his co-fighters.
A Georgian soldier, Mdinari Bebiashvili, has been killed in an attack during joint motorized patrolling in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Three military servicemen of the Georgian Armed Forces, participating in the Resolute Support mission, were also injured in the attack. One of them, Captain Mikheil Gvindjishvili, was seriously injured, while two others have less serious injuries. All three of them are being treated in the aviation base hospital.
