What are Bidzina Ivanishvili’s plans for Mamuka Khazaradze? – “Khazaradze is doomed to share the fate of Khodorkovsky”- Newpost.ge website is reporting based on a “reliable source”.
“According to the information we have obtained, Bidzina Ivanishvili has ordered to file a criminal case against Mamuka Khazaradze. The person having close relationship with the former prime minister says that Ivanishvili was outraged with the reports on possible alliance of Khazaradze and former prime minister Kvirikashvili and said that “Khazaradze would share the fate of Khodorkovsky”
The source told us that the main prosecutor’s office has been assigned to investigate the activities of TBC Bank, owned by Khazaradze, during past 15 years.
There is particular interest towards the persons of Khazaradze and the director general of TBC Bank, Vakhtang Butskhrikidze. Reportedly, the people, who have taken big loans from TBC Bank, have been already summoned to the prosecutor’s office for investigation, among them, Anzor Kokoladze, who, as the source has asserted, did not testify against Khazaradze despite pressure.
The members of the parliamentary majority confirm during informal conversations that Khazaradze is really doomed to share the “fate of Khodorkovski” and the order to “destroy” him comes from Ivanishvili in person.
The MPs connected with Ivanishvili do not conceal that the former prime minister intends to get TBC Bank and the contract of the Anaklia Port Construction.
It is also known that one of the main reasons that caused conflict between Kvirikashvili and Ivanishvili was the contract for the construction of Anaklia Port.
Meanwhile, nobody in TBC Bank has heard anything about the reports, which say that the prosecution intends to sue the chairperson of TBC Bank’s supervisory board, Mamuka Khazaradze.
“I heard this information for the first time from you right now; so I cannot confirm anything”, - PR office of TBC Bank has told the agency, which tried to check the reports about Khazaradze at the main prosecutor’s office, where the answer was that Mamuka Khazaradze was not sued.
It is presumable that if he is not sued right now, it does not mean that this won’t happen in near future, for instance, after the parliament approves Shalva Tadumadze as the chief prosecutor of Georgia and after the latter assumed the office of the chief prosecutor.
