Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that if Washington crosses the "red lines", it will restrict the US and its allies' access to oil and gas resources in the region "for years".

The statement, carried by Iranian state television, said that if the "American terrorist army" crosses the "red lines", Iran's response will "go beyond the region".

According to the statement, the Revolutionary Guard will target infrastructure in order to "leave the US and its allies without oil and gas in the region for years".

In addition, the statement says that America's regional partners should know that Iran has so far shown restraint out of concern for "good-neighborly relations" and had certain restrictions when selecting targets for retaliatory strikes, but now "all these restrictions have been lifted."
