Israel supports US President's decision to suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks - Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel supports US President Donald Trump's decision to suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks, on the condition that Iran immediately opens the straits and ceases all attacks on the US, Israel and countries in the region. This was stated in a statement by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Israel also supports US efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terrorist threat to America, Israel, Iran's Arab neighbors and the world," the statement said.
According to Netanyahu's office, the US has told Israel that in negotiations with Iran it is committed to achieving the common goals that the US, Israel and Israel's regional allies share.
However, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office stressed in a statement that the agreement reached with Iran on a two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon.
"The two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon," the Israeli Prime Minister's statement said.
Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is mediating negotiations between the US and Iran, said that the ceasefire agreement also includes Lebanon.
