    After counting about 99% of the votes, the opposition party "Tisza" will gain a constitutional majority in the Hungarian parliament, - the Hungarian National Election Commission has announced.

    According to the data of the Hungarian National Election Commission, with 98.93% of the votes counted, according to which Peter Magyar's opposition party "Tisza" will control two-thirds of the country's 199-seat parliament and form a single-party constitutional majority.

    After counting about 99% of the ballots in the Hungarian parliamentary elections, the opposition party "Tisza" received 53.06% of the votes. The incumbent ruling party Fidesz received 38.43%, while the far-right Mi Hazenk received 5.83%.

    According to the available data, Tisza will receive 138 seats in parliament, Fidesz - 55, and the Mi Hazenk party - 6. 133 seats are needed for a constitutional majority.

    As a reminder, parliamentary elections were held in Hungary yesterday. 79.51% of voters cast their votes in the parliamentary elections, a record turnout in Hungarian history.

    The incumbent Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, has admitted defeat in the elections.
