    Givi Mikanadze met with UNDP Regional Bureau Director for Europe in the US

    Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze is on a working visit to the US, where he met with UN Under-Secretary-General and UNDP Regional Bureau Director for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ivana Zhivkovic.

    The information was released by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

    The parties discussed ongoing projects and prospects for future cooperation between Georgia and UNDP.

    Special attention was paid to promoting the development of vocational education and training programs and partnership with UNDP in this direction.

    Givi Mikanadze thanked Ivana Zhivkovic for her support for the Georgian education system and expressed her readiness to closely cooperate with UNDP in the implementation of the 2026–2030 “Program Document”.

    The importance of the UN Public Services Forum, which will be held in Georgia in June of this year, was emphasized.

    In turn, Ivana Zhivkovic positively assessed the projects implemented within the framework of the partnership with Georgia and confirmed to the Minister her readiness for future partnership.
